Application Requirements

There is a list of the documents you must provide to get a Brazilian visa. Once all the papers are submitted, the process goes very quickly. So, look at the list to make sure you have all the requirements to start the visa application:

  • A valid U.S. passport with six or more months validity
  • Two recent passport photos not older than 90 days
  • Complete and signed two copies of the Brazilian Tourist Visa application
  • Copy of your round-trip tickets or itinerary
  • Clear copy of your current driver’s license, or a copy of either: utility bill, current lease, or bank statement

Additional Requirements

Some consulate may require additional information to obtain a Brazilian visa. Please be aware that you must provide these documents to complete the process. Here is a list of additional documents to have just in case:

  • Three most recent bank statements showing a minimum balance of $1000.00
  • A signed and notarized letter with details about the trip purpose, places you will visit, the name of friends or family you will go, or where you will stay during the trip
  • A certificate of vaccination against polio for a minor three months to 6 years old
